“Excited ako na kasi uumpisahan na ‘yung bagong teleserye namin. So magbabalik-GMA ako after ilang dekada na. I’m excited kasi uumpisahan na namin ‘yung Cruz versus Cruz, na sa title pa lang maintriga na sa teleserye,” she shared.

Although she has remained active in the industry, it has been two decades since Vina was in a TV project.

“Medyo natagalan rin ako bago nagkaroon ng soap opera o teleserye. 20 years na noh, grabe?,” she said. “Actually, last year may mga offers naman. May mga inquiries, kaya lang hindi natutuloy because I was in the US. Tapos nag-Broadway ako sa Here Lies Love, then I did my own shows and then I did a concert with David Pomeranz. So hindi na natuloy-tuloy. So finally, this 2025 tuloy na tuloy na.”

Even if she has never really stopped acting, Vina admits that she still gets nervous when starting new projects.

“Hindi mawawala yung kaba! I think lahat naman ng performers or actors and singers, every time na bago mag-umpisa, talagang nandodoon ‘yung kaba,” she shared.

Vina sees this as a good thing, though.

“Kasi kapag wala ‘yung kaba parang wala, kumpiyansado ka lang, masyado ka ng at ease ‘di ba? So mas gusto ko ‘yung may kaba. Hindi ibig sabihin na kapag kinakabahan ako, hindi ako excited,” she explained. “Siyempre I have to learn my character. Nag-story conference na kami. Nag-umpisa na rin kami ng taping nung February.”

With her newest role as a loving mom of three, Vina said that she is sure that audiences of all ages will enjoy watching her family-oriented soap.

“Actually, lahat ng mga tao makaka-relate dito kasi it’s about family. It’s about relationships,” she explained. ”Hindi lang kasi sa mag-asawa o magkarelasyon. Isang istorya din ito ng pamilya talaga at sa mga magkakapatid. It’s about business also. Ang daming conflicts sa teleserye na ito.”
