Anna Lakrini is spreading her wings in Europe, after embarking on a colorful pageant journey in the Philippines. The German-Filipino model has enlisted for the Queens of Germany 2025 contest.

The 2023 Binibining Pilipinas Globe titleholder and 2023 The Miss Globe second runner-up announced her participation in the German competition on social media on Saturday, March 22.

“I’m thrilled to reveal that I’m an official candidate for Queens of Germany 2025!! [stars emoji]” posted the 27-year-old Lakrini, whose father is German.

The contest will choose Germany’s representatives to the Miss International, Miss Supranational, The Miss Globe, Miss Aura International, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo pageants.

Lakrini’s first foray in national pageantry was via the 2022 Bb. Pilipinas pageant, joining the competition as a fresh graduate from Germany. She represented her mother’s home province of Bataan in the contest.

In 2023, she signed up with Cebu-based Origin Model and Management as the agency’s first-ever non-Cebuana talent. She also joined Aces & Queens pageant camp for her return to Bb. Pilipinas.

After relinquishing her national title to her successor Jasmin Bungay at the 60th Bb. Pilipinas pageant last year, Lakrini has been dropping subtle hints about a new “journey” in her life. Some fans assumed it would be in the Miss Universe Philippines contest.

But to the dismay of many of her followers, she was not among the 69 delegates presented by the Miss Universe Philippines pageant for 2025.

And now that the cat is out of the bag, Lakrini expresses her gratitude to those who have always believed in her. “Thank you for your endless support!! [heart with arrow emoji] I’m so excited to share every step of this adventure with you! [shining heart emoji]” she said.
