Summer has not officially started, but the runway of the “Body of Work” fashion show already sizzled with celebrities clad in their scorchingly hot ensembles.

Kathryn Bernardo led a bevy of celebrities who modeled the swimsuit line of an apparel and lifestyle brand, sashaying in a beaded white bikini top, which contrasted with her edgy deconstructed faded denim miniskirt.

Other standouts in the show were celebrity moms Priscilla Meirelles, Ina Raymundo, and Max Collins, while hunks Jake Cuenca and Kirk Bondad showcased their runway prowess and toned physiques.

Seven years since its last iteration, the fashion show — held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday, March 21 — is a celebration of beauty in different forms. The two-hour show was a sizzling display of belly-baring undergarments or strategically fitted ensembles.

Other celebrities who made a mark during the show were Alden Richards, David Licauco, Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Royce Cabrera, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, and Edgar Allan Guzman.

Beauty queens CJ Opiaza, Dia Mate, Krishnah Gravidez, and Miss Universe titleholders Celeste Cortesi, Gazini Ganados, Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and Michelle Marquez Dee also graced the stage.

Kathryn Bernardo

A personality has indeed arrived if she has become the finale of a popular fashion show. Kathryn Bernardo oozed with the confidence of a woman who is self-assured, with fire in her eyes. With her long locks waving around her, the “Hello, Love, Again” star pranced in a one-piece bikini top adorned with faux pearls, with matching ankle-strapped sandals with chunky heels, her hips swaying beneath a white denim miniskirt with embellished design.

While Bernardo has been showing her more mature taste in terms of clothing, her girl-next-door vibe still manages to peep through, adding to her charm and charisma.

Priscilla Meirelles

Priscilla Meirelles felt like a new woman on the runway much to the delight of the crowd. Wearing a breathtaking smile, Meirelles emerged on the runway in a floral-patterned two-piece bikini with a colorful lei wrapped around her arms.

Ina Raymundo

Gasps were heard as Ina Raymundo stepped onstage in a one-piece swimsuit flaunting her curves. With her hair tousled in beach waves and wearing makeup in shades of red, her breathtaking appearance felt like a second coming of her “Sabado Nights” commercial, but this time, more bombshell-like than before.

Jake Cuenca

Cuenca has always been known for his theatrical antics on the lifestyle apparel brand-helmed fashion show and this year was no different. Perched on the motorcycle wearing white pants, which he ripped off to the cheers of the audience. His confidence level? One-hundred percent!

Celeste Cortesi

Celeste Cortesi was reminiscent of a Victoria’s Secret angel in her nude two-piece bikini with translucent stockings and gloves. Emerging onstage with fellow Miss Universe Philippines titleholders Beatrice Gomez, Ariella Arida, and Gazini Ganados, Cortesi exuded confidence throughout her stint.

Kaila Estrada

Kaila Estrada’s model roots did her justice as she was a bombshell in her two-piece denim bikini on the runway. She didn’t do any crazy antics like her counterparts but her stage presence was more than enough to command attention.

Kirk Bondad

If it were a meat show, Mister World Philippines 2024 Kirk Bondad would be selling like a beef cake as he was one of the scene-stealers in the fashion show’s athlete-inspired set. Emerging backstage with a smile, the bedimpled model-slash-male pageant winner took the audience’s breath with his bright orange undergarment and a football in one hand. He further hyped the crowd when he started flexing his toned abs and biceps.

Sunshine Cruz

Shocked gasps were heard as Sunshine Cruz did a model-like strut in her bright red two-piece bikini and matching fishnet stockings. Her sultry ensemble was matched with tousled beach waves, black high-heeled shoes, and bright peach makeup.

Max Collins

Max Collins gave a hard punch when she came out in her blue two-piece bikini and high-heeled boots and a pair of red boxing gloves. As she strutted on stage, the Kapuso bombshell did a couple of jabs before blowing off her gloves.

Kyle Echarri

Kyle Echarri had the makings of a male model as he donned a black polo showing a flash of his chest muscles. The look was brought together with a chain necklace trailing to his chest and pants adorned with buckles. He didn’t take off his top unlike other stars, but a sprinkling of sex appeal to his commanding stage presence was enough to steal the show.

Zeinab Harake

Zeinab Harake drew from her roots as a lead majorette in Cavite for her “Body of Work” set. The content creation wowed the audience with her all-black ensembles, from her two-piece swimsuit, to her embellished black beret, to her thigh-high boots.

Andres and Atasha Andres

Celebrity twins Andres and Atasha Muhlach have individually been making waves due to their respective TV shows, but together they made the “Body of Work” runway twice as fun with their confident display of their modeling know-how.

Showing just the right amount of skin but loads of charm, the Muhlach twins walked with the confidence of kids who have made the runway their playground. Atasha strutted in a cropped blue cut-out top with embellished flowers, and baggy jeans in the same color scheme, while her brother radiated college hunk vibes in his denim and leather varsity jacket and baggy pants, eliciting gasps from the audience.

Michelle Dee

Michelle Dee brought together the theatrics of the apparel brand’s show and a concert in her set. She kicked off her stage with a performance of her new single “Reyna” before taking off her shawl to reveal her toned physique.

After promoting their recent single “Dam” on “All-Out Sundays” and “It’s Showtime,” SB19 turned the “Body of Work” show into their own concert as they performed the track at the large-scale event. Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin then stepped onstage in matching gray tops and jeans, with each member wearing their respective wing-like accessories.

Janine Gutierrez
