Julia Barretto took to social media to express her love and admiration for her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, as he celebrated his birthday.
“The kindest, most selfless person. Happy birthday love,” the actress wrote.
Accompanying her message were snapshots of special moments they have shared, including a beach getaway, their trip to the United States, and a photo from 2024 when Gerald was promoted to auxiliary captain of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Fans online were quick to react to Julia’s post.
“My lovebirds. HBD G,” one fan commented.
In a previous interview with Inquirer, Gerald shared why he considers Julia as “the one” for him, highlighting: “‘Yung personality niya, ‘yung pagiging fighter niya. Malambing niya. [Iisipin ng ibang tao] na pretty face lang siya, pero very malalim siyang tao. She’s very beautiful inside and out.”
While the couple occasionally shares glimpses of their relationship, Julia revealed in a 2024 episode of Magandang Buhay that they have made a conscious decision to maintain privacy.
“I guess we’re able to create a private bubble of ours na hindi na nila alam kung ano masyadong nangyayari sa partnership namin. I think that’s also a conscious effort on our end na talagang protektahan. Hindi kailangan mag overshare. Hindi dapat bawat galaw alam ng lahat so siguro that’s why they think [that],” she stated.
Previously, Julia shared in an interview with Karen Davila how Gerald stands out from her past relationships. “The sense of security that I have, the sense of calm that I have. His kindness has really grounded me and has really motivated me to become a better person. He created such a safe and healthy environment in my life,” she shared.
In an interview with PUSH Bets during the ABS-CBN Ball in 2023, the couple relayed what they’re most grateful for about each other.
“Support. Pagmamahal, siyempre. Just being there always for each other siguro. Just being grateful for each other. Sa lahat ng pinagdaanan kumbaga, it only makes you stronger,” Gerald relayed.
“Me, I’m most grateful for Ge. There’s too many things but I think one of the things I’m most grateful for siguro ‘yung he really makes me a better person,” Julia highlighted. “As cheesy at it sounds, it’s true. And he inspires me every day to achieve more, do more, and be more. Just be better in general.”
