Our kilig for Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino has grown exponentially now that the official poster of their new movie “My Love Will Make You Disappear” is finally here!

The pair unveiled the poster to the media and several lucky supporters during their intimate official poster launch and fan meet hosted by Shanaia Gomez on Wednesday, February 12. Joining KimPau in leading the grand reveal and in sharing behind-the-scenes stories were fellow castmates Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, Migs Almendras, Martin Escudero, and Karina Bautista.

For the main highlight of the event, the movie’s striking poster shows a determined Kim locking a wide-eyed Paulo in an embrace. As if harking back to the almost kiss from the film’s teaser, Kim is also inches away from planting a sweet peck on Paulo’s cheek.

With moments leading up to the official poster’s reveal, Paulo expressed his excitement: “Dahil, ayun naman, parang after shooting the movie, parang ‘yung inaabangan na ng mga tao lagi are – pati kami – ‘yung poster, trailer. Para makita namin ‘yung outcome nung pinagtrabahuhan naming lahat.”

Without spoiling the film’s story, Kim creatively described “My Love Will Make You Disappear” by likening it to trending blind boxes.

“’Pag binuksan mo, [mapapasabi ka ng] ‘ay, ito pala ‘yung mangyayari!’” she said. “Hindi lang siya basta basta romcom, pero napakaraming genre dito.”

The rest of the cast had nothing but high praises for the “My Love Will Make You Disappear” lead stars. Lovely did not shy away from expressing her personal fangirl moment during filming: “Alam niyo po, first time ko pong nakasama si Kim and si Paulo, kinilig po talaga ako. As in, iba po ‘yung mga tingin.”

When asked about what Kim and Paulo are like on set, Benj referred to Paulo as a leader figure who “would lead you to do better” with his acting advice. Meanwhile, Kim would strike a balance with her infectious, positive energy, their overall dynamic making the set “enjoyable.”

Director Chad Vidanes also makes his feature film directorial debut in Star Cinema’s “My Love Will Make You Disappear”. Direk Chad first collaborated with KimPau for the Philippine adaptation of the series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”. With him in the creative team of “My Love Will Make You Disappear” are Patrick Valencia and Isabella Policarpio who penned the screenplay, as well as Prime Cruz, who wrote the story.
