Comedienne Melai Cantiveros has thrown her support behind labor-based party-list group Trabaho, joining the roster of celebrity endorsers for the 2025 midterm elections.

Cantiveros sealed her endorsement when she joined Trabaho’s campaign sortie in Tarlac, during the Kanlahi festival over the weekend, riding the float bearing the party-list’s nominee Atty. Johanne Bautista.

The party-list (No. 106 in the ballot) promises to reform labor laws that would provide more benefits to employees and laborers, especially low-income earners.

The “Magandang Buhay” host likewise posted about her activity on her Facebook page.

“Congratulations sa inyo, mga Tarlaqueños, dahil nandito ang 106 TRABAHO para sa inyong mga deserved na benepisyo,” said Cantiveros while interacting with the crowd.

Aside from Cantiveros, other celebrity endorsers are Nadine Lustre and national artist Nora Aunor, who recently withdrew her candidacy as second nominee of People’s Champ party list in favor of Kabayan party list.

Lustre endorsed the Mamamayang Liberal party-list which is fielding former Senator Leila De Lima as first nominee.

Earlier, the Commission on Elections said it would require all endorsements by celebrities and social media influencers of candidates in the May 12 national and local elections — whether paid for or donated — to be reported by candidates in their statements of contributions and expenditures or Soce.
