Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero have long been coupled up—they’ve been in a relationship for 18 years, and in that time they have raised a family together. And now, the two are embarking on a new couple milestone: marriage.

“Woke up to this forever happiness,” Miles posted on her Instagram account announcing the happy news. “I’ve always known it’s him.” The announcement came with some very cute pics of the two on a glass-bottom boat in Boracay and photos of the ring, which was made by jewelry brand J’s Diamond. “​​I said ‘Thank you and YES!’ Lol pag kita ko sa ring napa thank you muna ako bago yes,” she wrote.

Montero broke the news first, though, posting their just engaged photos with the caption “Together 18 years, Engaged 8 hours… Here’s to Forever with you!”

For those who’ve been keeping up with the two, their engagement might not come as a surprise. The couple have been planning to get married for a while now: They almost had a wedding in 2020, but their plans were botched by the pandemic.

The couple and their kids have been vacationing in Boracay, making their engagement even cuter. Imagine getting engaged on a crystal-clear boat on a picturesque island and being able to share that moment with your kids! A dream, I tell you.

The family has been on a month-long getaway in Boracay to celebrate Miles’ and her eldest son’s birthdays, as well as to give their kids a taste of the island life. “We just want to show the kids [how life is] around the island. We feel that school will be opening soon and this is our only chance,” she wrote on March 6.

We wish nothing but the best for the two. Congratulations!
