On February 7, Barbie Hsu’s manager took to social media to address and debunk various speculations surrounding the late actress.

The manager emphasized “A true man is someone who protects Barbie Hsu’s children from her perspective” and criticized Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband, “While we are quietly mourning, the other side is desperately spreading falsehoods.

Addressing claims that Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband paid for a private jet to bring her ashes back to Taiwan, the manager stated, “All he did was instruct the driver to drop him off in front of reporters then stage a scene of walking in the rain for 30 minutes.”

Regarding the baseless rumor that Barbie Hsu’s mother considered her ex-husband to be her true love, the manager clarified, “In her mother’s eyes, the three years Barbie Hsu spent with Koo Jun-yup were the happiest of her 48-year life.”

The manager also dismissed fake news suggesting that Koo Jun-yup had taken out a life insurance policy on Barbie Hsu.

Following Barbie Hsu’s passing, her ex-husband Wang Xiaofei has been at the center of a custody and inheritance dispute, fueling the spread of rumors and misinformation.

On February 6, Koo Jun-yup expressed his grief on social media, writing, “On February 2, 2025, my angel returned to the sky.

He also lamented, “Malicious people have begun slandering my family and my love. Can you please just let Barbie Hsu rest in peace? I earnestly beg you.”

Regarding Barbie Hsu’s estate, Koo Jun-yup stated, “All of her assets were earned through her own hard work to protect the family she loved, so I intend to give full authority over them to my mother-in-law.” He added, “I am also taking legal steps with a lawyer to ensure that the children’s rights are protected until they reach adulthood, preventing bad actors from interfering.”

Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, wife of singer Koo Jun-yup, tragically passed away on February 2 due to acute pneumonia caused by influenza. The couple, who had dated in the early 2000s but were forced to part ways, reunited and married after more than 20 years, capturing hearts in both Korea and Taiwan. Her sudden passing has left many mourning the loss of their touching love story.
