On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso host read Barbie’s statement on the breakup, adding that he reached out to Jak but the actor asked for time before making a comment.

For Tito Boy, any goodbye is painful, especially in the context of a romantic relationship.

“Seven years is a long time, masakit ito pero ang nakakabilib po is pinili ni Barbie to come from a place of love, pinili ni Barbie in that statement na ang aalalahanin ko ay ‘yung magagandang mga bagay,” he said.

“We shared a lot of things, she’s coming from a place of love, hindi lang nag-work, pero masakit man, but they were seven wonderful years. I became who I am today because of you, because of that relationship.”

Tito Boy also pointed out the part where Barbie wished for Jak to find the love he deserves and how they must both be in pain.

He likewise refrained from speculating, noting that there are a lot of speculations on social media about why they broke up.

“We don’t want to speculate kasi andami-dami po sa social media speculations kung bakit po sila naghiwalay. I think we should be praying na sana’y maging maayos kasi seven years from now, when we look back, we’ll be able to connect the dots kaya pala ganun.”

The King of Talk added that Barbie choosing to come from a place of maturity and love is admirable.

He also noted the cryptic post of Barbie’s older sister Gabrielle which was posted on X on the eve of the breakup announcement, but refused to make further comments.

“I don’t wanna go into that because I might be putting meaning into some things that we don’t know. Hayaan natin sila mag-heal, but don’t get the statement wrong, it is a painful experience,” said Tito Boy.

“So, Barbie, you take good care of yourself, maraming salamat for sharing with us your statement. And Jak, mag-ingat kayong dalawa, God bless the both of you.”

Barbie announced her split from Jak on Thursday. In her statement, the Sparkle star said that having him in her life was the happiest she had ever been and thanked him for loving her the way he did. They were together for seven years.

A day before the announcement, her sister posted on X a photo of Barbie laughing, with the caption, “Gusto ko happy ka.”

Barbie’s final post with Jak on Instagram was in December 2024 when they celebrated the actor’s 31st birthday.
