The account is backed by the Beijing Man Zhao Technology Company, which will stream under the company’s name. While Zhang Lan has not yet appeared on the livestreams, the background settings match those of her previous streams.

MC Yang Yang, who frequently hosted Zhang Lan’s livestreams, even declared that they had “risen from the ashes.” On social media, Yang Yang wrote:
