As we anticipate how their story blossoms, let us swoon once more at their scenes via this Kapamilya Toplist from the beloved action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Sparks fly during Cardo and Mara’s first meeting, in the middle of a chaos as cops surround them. Mara’s group led by her father Armando (John Estrada) was chased by authorities after taking Don Ignacio (Tommy Abuel) while Cardo’s Task Force Agila was finally traced by the Black Ops after months in hiding. Circumstances brought the two groups into the same place. Tension filled the air as both camps pointed their guns at one another.

Clued-in on the Agilas’ case, Armando decided it was best to follow Cardo’s plans, much to Mara’s disappointment. Mara was doubtful of the strangers’ morals and skills and her harsh comments almost provoked Cardo. But if it weren’t for the bad blood between them, we wouldn’t see them engage in subtle but ‘kilig’ staring games.

Circumstances brought Cardo and his team to Armando’s mansion. Now he got to see Mara more often, and the gazes turned longer and more mysterious. While looking at each other from afar, with the sunset as backdrop, Cardo thought of thanking the strangers while Mara wondered why they had to cross paths.

Although she hasn’t realized it yet, Mara got her answer when she saved Cardo and Lolo Delfin (Jaime Fabregas). A colleague betrayed the Agilas by selling them out to the authorities, resulting in a gunfight that almost wiped out the Agilas. Armando’s group came to the rescue. Later on, Mara would lead in treating the wounded Agilas including Cardo. She was gentler at the moment, as if deeply worried about Cardo. Then she looked at him a little longer before leaving the room.

The next scene witnessed Cardo taking the courage to walk up to Mara and thank her for treating their wounds. Although Mara acted annoyed, it was the first time they engaged in a real, longer conversation. It turns out Mara’s feelings are keeping her confused. In her vlog, she talked to her followers about a visitor who’s extremely annoying in the beginning but has revealed himself as good-hearted. She said maybe she was too quick to judge him. Then, Mara smiled, and said she can’t truly comprehend what she feels about this person, whom we all know is none other than Cardo.

Another conversation followed. This time, they’re both more pleasant toward each other as they joined forces in saving the farmers’ daughter from Don Ignacio’s henchmen. Although a little argument ensued on the way to the enemies’ hiding place, Mara put her faith in Cardo’s plans and his team’s ability to save their comrades.

Armando’s group and their other friends had a heartbreaking reunion. Mara embraced one of the hostages, unaware that an enemy was pointing a gun at her. Mara could’ve been shot if it weren’t for Cardo’s sharp agility.

It was Mara’s turn to thank Cardo. The two were extra friendly in front of Armando and Lolita (Rosanna Roces), and Mara would even smile at Cardo for the first time. Is this the beginning of Cardo and Mara’s love story?
