Kathryn Bernardo recently opened up about her relationship with fellow star Alden Richards, sharing that he is one of the few people she can talk to without a “filter.”

In an interview with Nelson Canlas, the two celebrities discussed the valuable lessons they’ve gained from their friendship, with Kathryn expressing admiration for Alden’s steadfast attitude and openness.

The Kapamilya actress said she never hesitates to ask Alden questions, knowing he won’t be easily offended. “Not everyone can do what he does,” Kathryn noted, describing how she often looks to Alden as a source of calm and encouragement. “If I’m feeling overwhelmed, I look at him and think, ‘He doesn’t complain.’ When I need advice, I can go to him without any filter, and I know he won’t be offended.”

You’re not a superhero,” Alden added, reflecting on the importance of balance that Kathryn helped him understand.

The two actors starred in the blockbuster Hello, Love, Goodbye, one of the highest-grossing Filipino movies ever. Their onscreen chemistry captivated fans, while their offscreen friendship continued to thrive.
