Kathryn Bernardo is celebrating her 24th birthday today, March 26.

To mark the milestone, the birthday girl takes to Instagram to post what she considers “one of the greatest gifts” she could ask for: the construction of her parents’ dream house.

The young ABS-CBN actress recounts the groundbreaking ceremony she and her family held on the site of their future home early this month.

Her boyfriend Daniel Padilla was also present.

“Dreams do come true!” she gushes in her caption.

“Welcoming my birthday this year with one of the greatest gifts I could possibly ask for: my family’s dream house.

“It was a special day for all of us as the construction of our future home officially began, and I want to share this moment with all of you.”

On her YouTube channel, Kathryn gives fans a closer look at the site.

The Bernardo family is enlisting the help of Don Lino of Lino Architecture Inc. to design the house.

Architect Lino reveals his plan: “The idea for this house is… when you look around here, it’s on a hill.

“So, the main idea for the house is we wanted to maximize the views. And with that, we wanted the form of the house to show that certain action.”

Kathryn also reveals how excited the entire family is.

“Finally, natuloy na iyong house kasi ang tagal na ito pinaplano.

“Pero parang hindi pa siya meant mangyari three years ago until last year.

“And then, ayun, finally matutuloy na siya.

“Actually, aside sa akin, iyong bahay talaga na ito is for Mama and Papa, and ito iyong dream house nila.

“So, sa lahat ng trinabaho at puyat ko, ito, mangyayari na siya.”

This is the family’s first home, which they are building from scratch.

Kathryn continues, “Very, very excited, and sana maging smooth lang iyong proseso kasi nga, ang dami pang aayusin.

“Sana good relationship lang with everybody. Sana maging positive lang iyong journey namin ng paggawa nitong new house. Aming dream house.

“This year, magtatrabaho lang tayo para sa bahay.”
