Kathryn Bernardo dedicated an open letter to her mom Min for the latter’s birthday, in which the actress acknowledged the “imperfect moments” that made their bond stronger.

Kathryn expressed her appreciation for her mother while showing their recent and old photos through her Instagram page on Sunday, Jan. 5.

“They say you can’t choose your family, but if I had the chance, I’d still choose you to be my mom—over and over again,” the actress wrote.

“Our relationship may not be perfect (lots of fights and misunderstandings), but it’s the imperfect moments that made us stronger. They made me love you even more,” she continued.

Kathryn further regarded Min as a “big part” of who she is today. “We don’t say it much, but we love you dearly. Your happiness will always be my happiness.”

The actress concluded her post by describing herself as Min’s “most kulit and stressful [bunso].”

On her Instagram page, Min gave a glimpse of her birthday party held at their new home. Among the celebrities present at the intimate gathering were Maja Salvador, Dimples Romana and ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes.

“Grateful for another year spent with all of the wonderful people that surround us. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes,” Min captioned her post.
