Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes shared her experience of traveling solo for the first time last year.

 During the Star Magic Spotlight press conference, Andrea shared why she chose to visit Vienna in Austria and other European cities.

 “Napili ko ang Vienna kasi nagreresonate ako sa kanta ni Billy Joel na ‘Vienna,’” Andrea told PUSH.

 She explained that the song’s message of slowing down felt very relatable to her, especially after achieving many goals the previous year.

 “2024, parang ang dami kong gustong gawin talaga pero so little time lang talaga. Ang dami kong gusto. Lahat tinatry ko ijuggle and kailangan ko lang mag-sit back noon,” Andrea shared.

 As an actress, influencer, endorser, and entrepreneur at a young age, Andrea admitted to questioning her choices to do a lot of things all at once.

 “Nakaramdam din ako ng pressure na parang ‘Tama ba ginagawa ko na nasa 21 na ako? Enough ba yung mga achieved ko ngayong edda na ito?’ May mga goals kasi ako pagtanda ko,” she said.

 Andrea found comfort in the song’s message, saying, “Plinay ko yung ‘Vienna’ talaga para lang slow down. 21 pa lang ako. Enjoy. Minsan kasi ang hirap kasi pumasok pa rin ako sa business kaya pressure.”

 In addition to the song, Andrea was also drawn to Vienna because she met people her age.

 “Nag-enjoy lang ako. Ang cute cute noon. May vlog ako na nirelease noong solo travel ko tapos mayroon akong nameet na dalawang girl na ka-edad ko tapos strangers sila pero nag-click kami,” Andrea shared.

 Andrea also visited Prague in the Czech Republic and Budapest in Hungary, both inspired by songs she listened to during her travels.

 Despite her fears, Andrea shared how she overcame them with faith and determination.

 “Hindi ako natakot kasi alam mo kapag natakot ako mamimiss mo yung ibang fun sa life,” Andrea shared.

 “Laging may nagtatanong sa akin kung natatakot, mahirap, nakakapagod at nakakatakot but I do it scared. I do it alone and scared and I have fun while being scared,” she added.

“Ang lakas din kasi yung belief ko na I am divine and protected (by God). do it scared guys! I swear. Yung scared na yun, magiging F-U-N,” she continued.

 Andrea acknowledged that solo travel isn’t easy for her due to phobias and scoliosis, but she refuses to let fear stop her.

“Marami akong phobia, hindi ako iyong parang pinaka-isisipin mo na magtravel. Hindi ako yung pinaka-eligible for solo traveling kasi marami akong kinatatakutan but I still do it afraid,” Andrea explained

She went on: “I do it alone and afraid kasi ayaw ko yung fears ko iyong magstop sa akin from having fun and from doing I want to do. I know I want to travel, I want to explore the world pero I’m scared pero ayaw ko magpaapekto sa takot ko.”

Encouraging everyone to try solo traveling, Andrea said, “Sana talaga mayroon ako ma-encourage sa mga kwento ko na mag-solo travel. Kung kaya ko guys, kayang kaya niyo iyon.”

Andrea also shared with PUSH her plans to make solo travel an annual tradition.

“Gusto ko siya (travel) maging annual thing na mayroon akong solo travel every year pero this year di ko alam, parang gusto mag-ipon this year, parang medyo pahinga muna,” she expressed.
