Aksidente ang pagkakadiskubre ng Thai socialite at businesswoman na si Somrutai Sangchaiphum, o mas kilala bilang Aon Somrutai, sa bodyguard niyang si Kateyki.

Nagmistulang sidekick ni Aon si Kateyki. And as she becomes popular, naging bukam-bibig rin ng followers ang pangalan ng bodyguard.

Pero accidental pala ang naging pagsasama nila sa isang video content.

Ibinahagi ito ni Aon sa interview sa kanya ng Thai content creator at online host na si Woody noong December 10, 2024.

Thai ang wikang ginagamit ni Aon pero may rough translation ang video.

HOW KATEYKI WAS “BORN”

Kuwento ni Aon, may sale raw noon sa kanyang Perrine Porter shop, na nagbebenta ng second-hand branded items.

Kinailangan ng security guards para bantayan ang mga pumapasok na customers.

“Actually, his name is Tae [pronounced as Tei]. We got to know him because of the shop,” kuwento ni Aon.

“And there was a sale event and there were so many customers, so we kind of needed a bodyguard.

“They’re security guards specifically for the brand-name shop to make sure that… to check if anyone is putting items into their own bag.”

Noong araw raw na iyon, pumunta sa kanyang shop si Aon at nagdesisyong gumawa ng content.

On the spot, pinili niya si Tae dahil “that person was the closest to the front of the shop.”

Sabi raw niya sa security guard, “‘Come and create content with Aon, please.’”

Kung mapapansin daw sa video na iyon, wala pang pangalan na ibinigay kay Tae.

“The first clip didn’t have a nickname and then we continued making clips together.”

Kinausap daw ni Aon si Tae at tinanong ang pangalan nito.

Masyadong “manly” ang pangalang Tae, kaya inisipan niya ito ng pangalan: Kateyki.

Ano ang kahulungan ng Kateyki?

Sagot ni Aon: “Because I also have an international fan base… it’s kind of similar to Kentucky [Fried Chicken].”

Mahihinuhang nais ipahiwatig ni Aon na may recall ang Kateyki dahil katunog ito ng kilalang American fast-food brand.

Ngayon, naging regular bodyguard na ni Aon si Kateyki, na minsan ay tinatawag ding Kuteyki.

Pareho silang “content stars.”

Bukod kay Kateyki, nagtatampok din si Aon ng iba pang security personnel at housekeepers.

“Khun Noi is an observer,” ani Aon ukol sa kanyang kasambahay.

“Actually, there’s no script, but when we create content, we’re like when we need positive energy, we will surround ourselves with positive people.”

Sa kanyang videos, kapansin-pansin na nag-e-effort si Aon na magsalita ng English.

It’s not really because of her content.

Ang kuwento niya, “The turning point is it was my first time studying abroad in Sweden. I received a scholarship to go.”

Sa isang Sunday market, “There are so many people and I want to walk around, [get some] fresh air.”

May napansin daw siyang isang cheese shop na may mahabang pila.

“So we went to stand in line and I am an Asian, 170 cm tall. Others are very tall. It’s like they just stepped out of a magazine.”

Napansin daw ni Aon na may isang grupo na lumapit sa kanila sa pila, kabilang na ang isang lalaking guwapo.

“They came closer and they stepped on my foot, and then they said sorry. It really hurt at that moment. It hurt.

“As soon as it hurt, he said, ‘Sorry,’ and then I said, ‘Oh, thank you.’”

Tila nahiya si Aon sa pagbabalik-tanaw sa pangyayaring iyon.

Pagpapatuloy ni Aon, “I didn’t know what to say, it just came out automatically. I’m the type of person who always says thank you.

“It’s just a habit when speaking Thai. If someone gives something to someone thank you. It’s automatic.”

Ang singit naman ng host kay Aon, naging trademark na rin ni Aon ang pagsasabi ng “thank you” sa kanyang mga videos.
