Kapamilya actress and host Kim Chiu revealed to the public that Vice Ganda just had a bout of dengue.

Kim Chiu binuking na nagka-dengue si Vice Ganda

During one of the episodes of It’s Showtime this week, the My Love Will Make You Disappear star accidentally disclosed the Unkabogable Star’s illness during one of their chats on the program.

Vice Ganda has since then recovered from dengue but admitted he didn’t know about his status until he had it checked with a doctor.

According to the Mayo Clinic, dengue is a mosquito-borne illness that occurs in tropical and subtropical parts of the world–– the Philippines is considered as a tropical country. The mild dengue could cause high-fever and flu-like symptoms.

“Okay na po ang platelets ko kaya thank you very much. Normal na ulit. Madlang people, keep hydrated ha. Napakahalaga ng hydration,” she shared.

Kim, who wanted to add something to their banter, suddenly dropped the news to the shock of the hosts and the audience present.

“Buti okay ka na ngayon Ma. Kahit may dengue ka nagtrabaho ka pa rin,” Kim said.

“Talagang in-out mong nagka-dengue ako,” Vice replied.

Joining in the banter was Darren Espanto who reminded Kim that Vice’s diagnosis was only announced in the group chat and not to the public. All the hosts were quick to laugh at the sudden revelation of the actress.

“Bestie, hanggang group chat lang dapat natin yun,” he quipped.

Vice was revealed to have been working despite the illness as he didn’t know he had the dengue virus all along. He credited having a good immune system which was why he didn’t feel sick and was still able to go to work.

“Mataas ang immune system ko… kumpleto ako sa mga bitamina at tsaka healthy living na ako,” Vice revealed.

Vice has since recovered from the dengue virus and was recently seen attending the birthday celebration of doctor to the stars Vicki Belo earlier this week.
