Coney Reyes Finally Reacts to Dina Bonnevie’s Statement About Their Past Feud—”Let’s Move On!”

Coney Reyes has finally spoken up about Dina Bonnevie’s recent comments regarding their long-forgotten feud from the 1980s. During a press interview for her new Kapuso teleserye Love of My Life, Coney was asked to share her thoughts on Dina’s remarks during the press conference of Anak ni Waray Vs. Anak ni Biday.

Dina had nothing but praise for Coney, especially when it came to how she raised her son, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, and how she deepened her faith in God. In response, Coney kept her statement short but meaningful:

“Well, that’s nice. Let’s not dig up the past that happened almost 30 years ago. Everyone has moved on and is at peace with their own families, so let’s just leave it at that.”

She also acknowledged that she wasn’t the only one who played a role in guiding Dina towards her spiritual journey.

“I truly appreciate her words, but usually, it’s not just one person who helps us along the way. Many people contribute to our growth,” Coney said. “But still, I’m grateful. I wish her well. She has always been nice to Vico, so there’s no problem at all.”

When asked about how they managed to maintain a good relationship despite their past conflicts, Coney simply reiterated her stance on moving forward:

“Like I said, let’s not dwell on the past. Isn’t it better that we’re all happy now? I’m very happy for her, for everyone, and for the peace that we all have. Let’s just stay quiet and enjoy life.”

Coney Reyes stars in Love of My Life, premiering this Monday, February 3, on GMA-7, alongside Carla Abellana, Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez, and Tom Rodriguez.
