Si AC ay kasalukuyang housemate sa Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition.

Iba-iba ang reaksiyon at reception ng netizens sa kanila — may mga negatibo at positibo. Pero para sa ibang housemates, gaya ni AC, mas nangingibabaw sa ngayon ang nakukuha nitong negative reaction.

DARREN ESPANTO DEFENDS BFF AC BONIFACIO
Nakaharap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at ilan pang entertainment press si Darren sa launching niya bilang bagong endorser ng City Café, ang coffee-drink offering ng 7-Eleven convenience store.
Ginanap ang launching sa 7-Eleven 4000th Store sa Megaworld Newport, Pasay City, nitong Miyerkules, March 26, 2025.
Malaman ang naging biro ni Darren nang tanungin kung palagay ba niya ay magiging boring kung nagkataong magkasama sila ni AC sa PBB house.
Hirit niya: “Feeling ko hindi ganun kadami ang isyu niya ngayon kung nasa loob ako ng bahay kasama niya.
“Pero, of course, we’re all rooting for her.”
Hindi lang daw affected si Darren sa mga isyung ipinupukol sa kaibigang si AC, kundi nadadawit din siya at ang pamilya ni AC.
Marami ang nakakaalam na close friends sina Darren at AC.
Dahil dito ay madalas tina-tag ng netizens si Darren, pati na rin ang isa pa nilang kaibigan at content creator na si Niana Guerrero, sa mga puna nila kay AC sa social media.
Saad ni Darren: “Ayun nga, kami ni Niana nagte-text also, we’re checking up on AC’s mom.
“May mga group calls kaming ginagawa to talk about everything that’s happening inside the [PBB] house.”
Paliwanag ni Darren bilang pagtatanggol kay AC: “I feel like a lot of people just misinterpret a lot of the things that—not just AC—like, a lot of the things that the housemates say within the house, and their actions.
“Kasi, ayun nga, tina-tag kami ni Niana sa maraming tweets tungkol kay AC na parang, ‘Hindi niyo ba kilala yung friend niyo?’
“Siyempre, ako, eight years ko nang best friend si AC, so I know her inside and out.
“So I know the backstory to what she’s doing inside the house.”
DARREN ON AC BEING BASHED BY NETIZENS
Pagdating naman sa matinding bashing kay AC, sabi ni Darren: “I feel like all of us get affected, even when it’s not just her family members being bashed…”
Nilinaw ni Darren na hindi niya kinukunsinti si AC kung may mali man itong ginagawa, subalit nagiging big deal ang mga nasasabi at ginagawa nito dahil sa PBB.
Paliwanag ng It’s Showtime co-host: “And I’m not saying, like, we all tolerate everything that we do, even if we’re best friends… pero siyempre, may mga limitations din.
“And at the end of the day, we still support her.”
Tinanong ng PEP si Darren kung ano mensaheng nais niyang iparating sa publiko bilang hindi maipagtanggol ni AC ang sarili dahil nasa loob ito ng PBB house.
“The views and opinions of the housemates does not reflect the views and opinion of the best friends. Joke lang,” biro muna niya.
Pero seryoso niyang dugtong: “I hope people get to understand AC more.
“Tsaka they give her a chance, kasi feeling ko malakas din ang laban ng best friend ko.
“Before going in talaga, all of us knew what she was gonna be going into.
“All of us are rooting for her.”
Pagdidiin pa ni Darren: “Tsaka sana mabigyan din siya ng chance to be able to showcase her talent inside the house, her personality, and how good of a person she is.
“Ngayon, kasama siya sa mga nominees for eviction, so let’s see what happens.
“Either way, ayun, proud naman kami sa kanya… [we] support her.”
