During the press conference for Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday, Dina spoke highly of Coney, particularly praising how she raised her son, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, and how she deepened her faith in God.

“Well, that’s nice,” Coney responded during a pocket press interview for her new GMA series, Love of My Life. “Let’s not dig up the past that happened almost 30 years ago. Everyone has moved on with their lives, so let’s leave it be.”

Coney also humbly downplayed Dina’s acknowledgment of her role in strengthening her faith, saying that spiritual growth is often influenced by multiple people.

“Thank you, but usually, it’s not just one person who helps us. There are many,” the veteran actress said. “But I really appreciate it. I wish her well. She has always been nice to Vico, so there’s no issue.”

When asked how they managed to maintain their friendship after their past conflict, Coney simply repeated her stance.

“Like I said, let’s not dig up the past. That’s enough,” she said. “Aren’t you happy for all of us? I’m very happy for them, I’m very happy for her, I’m very happy for everybody being happy. Let’s just move on.”
