Will Ashley talked about why he’s having a hard time opening up to other people during the latest episode of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” aired Monday.

After Will and River Joseph were nominated for eviction, the Sparkle actor told his partner that he usually feels like a burden to others.

“Ayun ‘yung wino-work ko sa sarili na hindi ko mabago pa. Kaya kadalasan kapag nasa ganitong sitwasyon, basta hindi talaga OK ‘yung feeling kapag nag-oopen (up). May sasabihin ako na parang wala kang napi-feel. In-explain ko lang sa ‘yo para alam mo,” he said.

River encouraged him to try releasing emotions or thoughts so he could feel relieved.

“Masarap din ilabas talaga pero ang way ko ng paglabas eh iba eh. Hindi ‘yung pag-oopen. Pansin na pansin n’yo nung first day natin sobrang tahimik. Mahirap mag-open (up),” Will said.

When asked in the confession room how he’s feeling, Will said he suddenly thought of his mother, who took care of him and the last person he texted before his phone was taken.

He recalled how his mother wanted to work abroad after the death of his father.

“Bigla ko lang naalala, Kuya, ‘yung reason ko kung bakit ako lumalaban every day kasi, Kuya, plano niya na pong mag-work abroad noon eh,” the actor said.

“So, sabi ko po sa kanya, huwag na po siyang umalis kasi dalawa na lang din po kami. ‘Yun po ‘yung time na namatay ‘yung dad ko. Parang gusto ko lang po, Kuya, na maging happy siya,” he added.

The Kapuso actor turned emotional and expressed how he misses his mom: “Na-miss ko po ‘yung comfort. ‘Yung feeling ng comfort na mayakap ng sarili mong nanay. Iba kasi po ‘yung feeling kaysa ‘yung kaibigan lang talaga.”

Will then explained that he’s not opening up to others after someone backstabbed him despite feeling comfortable enough with them to share his emotions and thoughts.

“Ako po kasi, hindi po talaga ko ma-open na tao. Kadalasan po kasing pumapasok sa utak ko. Ayokong maging burden sa ibang tao. Parang iniisip ko lagi na kaya ko naman mag-isa. Gagawin ko ng sarili ko,” the actor said.

“Kasi may mga times po rin na naging sobrang open ako. Sobrang naging comfy ako. Lahat ng problems ko, naikwento ko hanggang sa nagamit siya against me sa likod ko. Hindi po maganda ‘yung sinasabi,” he added.

Kuya reminded Will that part of being a housemate is interacting with other people so he can share his story.

“Bahagi ng karanasan bilang house ang pakikipagkapwa tao. At nangangahulugang pagiging bukas sa kanila. Naiintindihan ko, marami kang pagdududa, takot, pero hindi ito dahilan para tumigil at sigurado ako ‘yung din ang sasabihin ng nanay mo,” Kuya said.

“Ang hinahanap ng mga housemates ay ‘yung panahong makilala ka at maramdaman ka. Baka din makahanap ka ng ibang pagkakaon na makapagpaliwag ka kung bakit ka tahimik para mas maintindihan ka nila.”
