Maggie to Connor: “My love for you is unwavering”
Things are looking up for former actress Maggie Wilson, who shares “GOOD news” about her ongoing custody battle for son Connor in a social-media post today, January 18, 2025.
Maggie reveals in a series of Instagram Stories that the family court of the Republic of the Philippines had denied the petition filed by her estranged husband, Victor Consunji, who sought a Temporary and Permanent Protection Order (TPO/PPO) against her.
The petition alleged that Maggie’s social-media posts caused psychological harm to their son, Connor.
However, the court dismissed the claims, affirming Maggie’s right to communicate with her son.
The decision marked a pivotal victory for the beauty titlist, who has long fought to maintain a bond with Connor despite their separation.
Her Instagram Stories read in full (published as is):
“I’m starting 2025 with some GOOD news.
“I recently received a decision from the court that DENIED a petition for a Temporary and a Permanent Protection Order under the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act (VAWC) of 2004, which was filed by my son’s father, Victor Consunji with Jose Mari O. Magsalin as his council, against me to stop me from being able to communicate or see my son on the basis that I am a threat to my son’s mental and physical well being.
“Despite several testimonies including the likes of Marc Nelson, who testified on his knowledge on behalf of the petitioner Victor Consunji of how my son suffered emotional stress, anxiety, and annoyance due to me, were all denied by the family court of the Republic of the Philippines.
“Unfortunately, this exercise also subjected my son to being put on the stand at just 12 years old.
“An excerpt from the court states ‘The (social media) postings merely expressed the love and longings of a mother to her son who was separated from her. The respondent really missed her son, nothing more and nothing less.’
“‘There was no credible evidence to support a finding that Respondent (Me) committed psychological violence against her son.’
“Therefore, ‘There is no reason to prohibit the Respondent from communicating with her son (C). As a mother, the respondent has the right and duty to communicate with her son.’
“On behalf of all mothers going through something similar, I’d like to thank the Presiding Judge and the Family Court for seeing through what is right and just.
“I’d like to apologize for the behavior of my (ex)husband for yet again wasting the court’s valuable time.”
Alongside a heartfelt photo with Connor, she wrote, “My love for you is unwavering, standing strong against the tests of distance and time.”
Maggie and Victor’s legal disputes
The former couple’s legal disputes date back to their public separation in September 2021, following 11 years of marriage.
What began as an amicable announcement soon evolved into a contentious saga.
Days after the split, Maggie accused Victor of forcibly evicting her from their marital home in Taguig.
Shortly after, Victor filed a case of concubinage against Maggie and her business partner Tim Connor, a claim both parties vehemently denied.
Maggie’s revelations went on to allege that Victor’s actions extended beyond legal disputes, affecting her ability to co-parent effectively.
Publicly, she maintained her focus on Connor, expressing her longing through social-media posts that became a lifeline to her son during their separation.
On Mother’s Day 2024, she publicly disclosed the enforcement of a protection order that prevented her from seeing or communicating with Connor until he reached adulthood.
“It’s been almost two years since I last held him and 494 days since we last spoke. I’ve missed 2 birthdays, 2 Christmases, 2 New Year’s celebrations, and countless milestones,” Maggie wrote in an Instagram post on May 12, 2024.
“There is nothing more painful than the loss of a child who I know is growing up without me.”
The protection order filed by her ex-husband Victor alleged that Maggie’s social-media posts about their son posed a threat to Connor’s mental and physical well-being.
Maggie addressed her followers in the same post: “You may have noticed that I’ve been posting less about him. It’s because I received a notice for a Protection Order for sharing images and videos of my own son on social media. To stop me from seeing or speaking to him until he is an adult.
“I am a mother, but I have been robbed of being able to be a mother. Nonetheless, I will always be his mommy, and that is something no one, not even time, can erase.”
Maggie ended the post with a message for her son: “Forever in my heart, in my mind, and my prayers. One day bubbah. Our time will come. I will never lose hope. I love you and miss you dearly my little man.”
