Anthony Jennings‘ ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva, says she wants to clear her name amid the growing chatter around her split with the Kapamilya actor.

Two days after Anthony confirmed his split from his partner of seven years, Jamela drops a series of Instagram stories on December 3, 2024, detailing the last three months of their relationship.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Jamela begins by saying that her moves are all toward achieving peace and healing for herself.

After this, she shares screenshots of what she claims are Anthony’s exchanges with fellow Star Magic artist Maris Racal,

Jamela writes: “I’ve been trying to hold myself together through everything that’s been happening. But after hearing all the things being said about me—about my character, my intentions, and even my family—I can’t stay silent any longer.

“It’s been deeply painful, and I know it’s no longer just about me. It’s about protecting the people l love most, and I can’t allow them to be dragged into this.

“I’m not here to relive the past or cause more pain. I just need to share my truth.”

Going on, she says: “There’s only so much silence a person can bear when rumors twist the truth. I’m sharing this because I need to set the record straight—not to create more drama, but because I deserve to be heard, just like anyone else.

“This has been a journey of pain, growth, self-discovery, and healing.”

She admits that speaking up has not always been the option she would take.

“No one truly knows what happens behind closed doors,” she writes, “but I’ve learned the hard way that speaking up isn’t weakness—it’s strength, and I’ve learned that choosing peace sometimes means reclaiming your voice.

“I’m choosing to let go of the weight of these rumors. I’m choosing peace for myself and my family, and I hope you can respect that too. To those who have stood by me and continued to support me, I am forever grateful.

JAMELA villanueva’S GROWING SUSPICIONS

Jamela reveals that her suspicions began with conversations between, she claims, Anthony and Maris on June 28, 2024, the night before the launch of a food chain endorsed by the two stars.

By Jamela’s account, the MaThon loveteam was already billeted in the same hotel when Maris sent Anthony a message allegedly saying, “Di pa ako inaantok.”

Anthony was supposed to have asked, “Gusto mo pa ba?,” to which Maris’s reply was supposed to have been, “Sa next life na.”

Jamela also alleges that Maris asked Anthony to delete screenshots of her conversation with Anthony.

Jamela follows this with her own screenshots showing Anthony reassuring her, as his girlfriend, that despite the demands on him of his work, he remains committed to her.

She says Anthony actually assured her that his interactions with Maris have been no more than, she quotes him saying, “method acting.”

The post captures Anthony saying to Jamela: “mahal kita/tapos kailangan ko gawin to/parang naka pako sa pader/masakit siyempre/miss ko buhay ko eh/pero wala di gagana to pag di ko gagawin to.”

To which she concludes: “I fully supported him because I believed in him and trusted him at that time.”

Posting additional screenshots of what Jamela says are calls and Facetime video logs between Maris and Anthony, she notes that the logs prove their communications were frequent.

“During those times, I just let it be,” Jamela asserts, “because nagtitiwala ako sa kanila.

“Anthony would always tell me that he needed to do it and [he needed to] respond to her because they had work the next day.

“He didn’t want their work to be affected, especially since his partner was dealing with some personal issues. He took it as his responsibility, believing that by comforting her, he could help her work through her problems.”

A next collage of screenshots, again allegedly between Anthony and Maris, is also uploaded by Jamela on IG Stories.

Here she claims that, in one message, Maris wrote, “You look so tired I wanna baby u,” to which she also claims Anthony responded, “Oki hehe I love you sorry na kiss nalang kita mamaya.”

To which Maris supposedly replied, “Not ready for I love yous [angry emojis].”

THE BREAKUP

Entering October 2024, Jamela ends things with Anthony.

She writes on her IG Stories (published as is): “I ended things with him as peacefully as I can, but I was hurt and devastated hence the TikTok reposts.

“People saw it and nakarating din sakanya yun, and that day na nag viral yung issue about the reposts he keeps messaging me things like this.”

She also uploads Anthony’s plea to her of October 1: “ako nalang sirain mo love/mag usap nga tayo/sinabi nya na sakin/di na sya lalapit sakin/and i promise you wala na din tinapos ko na/so/please/kung ano man yan/itigil mo na yan”.

JAMELA’S ADVICE TO FELLOW WOMEN

In a separate post, Jamela leaves a note addressed to women who find themselves in the same situation.

It reads: “To all the women reading this, don’t be like me. It took me three long months to finally accept that I was just ignoring the reality of the situation.

“The sleepless nights, crying and anxiety attacks and sabotaging yourself—for those three months, I blamed myself for everything I thought, felt, and saw during that time.

“I convinced myself I was just overthinking and overreacting because I desperately wanted to see the good in the situation.

“I allowed this to happen because I thought it was the best way to support them both. Most importantly, I trusted my partner and her—as a woman.

“This isn’t easy-especially when he texts me. I catch myself wanting to reply, wishing things could just go back to how they were.

“But I’m grateful for the people who’ve found strength in my story, and whose hearts I’ve touched.

“They remind me that sharing my truth isn’t just about my own healing-it’s about empowering others to find the courage to embrace theirs.

“So if you ever find yourself in the same shoes as me, I hope you can gather the strength to put yourself first and protect your peace.”
