Cesca Litton took to social media to reveal that she has been battling breast cancer, and that she has started undergoing chemotherapy this March.

On Instagram, she said the diagnosis came in December, calling it her “one last surprise” for 2024.

“December was a whirlwind of tests and consultations, until the biopsy results confirmed the big C. I don’t think I ever really gave myself time to process, I just shifted into ‘act now, feel later’ mode. Mastectomy/reconstruction done in January. Chemo started in March,” she shared.

“I wanted to keep this quiet, but there was no point in hiding it anymore once I started losing my hair,” she added. “That pixie cut lasted 2 1/2 weeks until my hair started falling out in clumps. I decided to just shave it off, I have a wig ready for work purposes, and a growing collection of scarves and turbans.”

Litton took the opportunity to thank all the people who have been supportive in her breast cancer journey, saying they have “gone above and beyond for me despite my best attempts at downplaying what I’m dealing with.”

“Thank you for showing me I don’t have to go through this alone. Thank you for praying so hard for me that I can actually feel myself being held up by prayers,” she said. “Thank you to the people who have given me grace and time to do what I need to do.”Cesca Litton reveals battle with cancer: “My story is far from over” - KAMI.COM.PH

The host went on to declare that her story “is far from over,” saying she still has “things to do, places to see, mountains to climb, and love to give back.”

She also reminded the public to have regular check-ups. “Early detection is key. You really never think it could happen to you until it does, so please stay on top of your check-ups,” she ended.

Fans and friends of Litton, including her fellow celebrities, expressed love and support for her in the comments section.

“You got this, beautiful. Always remember that the big C is Christ,” said former actress Jackie Forster.

“Love you, Woman! We are all here for you!” said influencer Chesca Garcia.

“You are so incredibly strong. Thank you for your vulnerability and spunk. Praying for you,” said “Pinoy Big Brother” host Bianca Gonzalez.
