“My Love Will Make You Disappear” stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are all set to bring pure romcom goodness to the cinemas for their first big screen movie together!

Along with the talented cast and creators of Star Cinema’s upcoming movie, KimPau answered fans and the press’ burning questions during their media conference on February 19.

Joining KimPau in amping up the excitement for “My Love Will Make You Disappear” were the equally charismatic residents of Tahanan Homes in the film, played by Wilma Doesnt, Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, Migs Almendras, Martin Escudero, and Karina Bautista.

For Kim, who makes her much-awaited return to the romcom film genre since 2015’s “All You Need is Pag-Ibig”, this big screen comeback feels nothing short of “amazing.” As she enthusiastically put it, “It’s like a breath of fresh air.”

In “My Love Will Make You Disappear”, Kim plays Sari, a government employee who believes she’s doomed to be single forever after all  the men she ever loves tend to vanish without explanation.

Despite making her mark in Filipino romance films throughout her career, Kim also humbly admitted that she found “My Love Will Make You Disappear” quite challenging at times. Describing the movie, she said: “Nakakatawa, maraming mapupulutan ng aral, and at the same time, susuntukin ka ng realidad ng buhay pagdating sa pag-ibig.”

Paulo, who plays the troubled businessman Jolo in the film,  also teased that there are more surprises underway in the movie.

“Sobrang bitin pa,” he said of their official trailer. “Kumbaga naiisip ko ‘yung mga shi-noot naming mga eksena. Napakarami pang magpapatawa, magpapa-kilig, and magpapagulat sa mga viewers natin.”

Prime Cruz, who came up with the story for “My Love Will Make You Disappear”, disclosed that it was a heart-to-heart conversation over drinks with a “sawi” friend that gave him the idea for the film’s concept.

“Sinabi n’ya… ‘bakit ba lahat, ‘pag nag-se-seryoso na ‘ko, bigla na lang silang nawawala?’” he recalled.  After interpreting that confession in the literal sense, the film’s story was born!

“My Love Will Make You Disappear” scriptwriters Isabelle Policarpio and Patrick Valencia also confirmed that apart from brimming with “good vibes,” the film’s now-viral dialogue was thanks to a series of meetings and the team’s “collaborative effort” to unravel the characters’ pain.

As for director Chad Vidanes, who last worked with KimPau in their hit series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim”, this new project sparked a new dynamic between him and the onscreen pairing.

“It’s a romcom, but mature,” Direk Chad shared of “My Love Will Make You Disappear”, adding that audiences in their 20s and 30s would relate the most to its narrative.

The night capped off with the grand reveal of the movie’s 11 international posters, with each pose of Kim and Paulo being constantly romantic and inspiring!

This also means that fans living overseas don’t need to worry because “My Love Will Make You Disappear” will be spreading all the kilig to cinemas worldwide! As of February 20, it has been announced that the film will also be showing in the United States, Guam, Saipan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, Cambodia, the Middle East, Malta, Finland, Austria, France, Italy, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
