Kristel Fulgar gives her followers a peek into her wedding dress selection process in a Facebook Reel uploaded on March 31, 2025.

The actress and content creator shares her thoughts on several gown options she considered but ultimately did not choose for her upcoming wedding to her Korean fiancé, Ha Su Hyuk.

Kristel’s Church Wedding Gown options

Kristel evaluates three dresses suited for a traditional church wedding, each with its own charm but also some personal drawbacks.

Option 1

Her first option features a silk fabric with a sweetheart neckline, set-in sleeves, and a basque waist bodice. The maxi gored skirt gives the dress a classic silhouette.

Although she appreciates the quality of the silk, she finds the design too plain for her liking.

She remarks, “The quality of the silk is really good, but I find it too simple.”

Option 2

The next gown, also made from a silk fabric, takes a more dramatic turn with a plunging neckline and short puff sleeves.

A bejeweled bodice lends a regal touch, while the ball skirt amplifies its grandeur.

Though Kristel admires its elegance, she finds the sleeve design quite unappealing.

“The silk and the style are very elegant, but I do not like the small sleeves,” she admits.

Option 3

The third option combines beaded brocade and organza fabric, with a round, translucent neckline, butterfly sleeves, and a basque waist bodice, all flowing into a maxi gored skirt.

It’s almost perfect except that she finds the beadwork a bit too overwhelming.

She says, “This is really good and perfect for church, but I find it too heavy because of the beads.”

Kristel’s Wedding Hall Dress options

For the reception, Kristel checks out three breathtaking dresses.

Option 1

Beaded tulle fabric with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a bejeweled bodice give the first option a fairytale-like charm.

The ball skirt creates a grand silhouette, but it only has that dramatic effect in photos.

Her comment: “It looks so good on screen but not so much in reality.”

Option 2

The second gown stands out for its delicate embellishments.

It combines beaded and floral-embellished tulle with satin fabric, featuring an off-the-shoulder plunge neckline and a voluminous ball skirt.

Kristel is drawn to its elegance and charm, admitting, “It looks so cute, elegant, and charming. I almost chose this one.”

Option 3

Kristel is initially drawn to the final option, featuring an organza-lined crepe fabric with delicate white vine embroidery.

The tulle cape sleeve fringes add an ethereal touch.

Kristel reveals, “This was my first choice when I searched their website, but something else caught my eye the most.”

PRENUP PHOTOS

Kristel and Su Hyuk announced their engagement on February 28, 2025.

On March 21, she puts out a set of dreamy prenup photos taken in South Korea.

Dressed in matching blazers over white outfits, Kristel wears a short dress while Su Hyuk pairs his ensemble with a buttoned shirt.

One standout moment from the shoot shows him kissing Kristel gently on the forehead.

Another image features Kristel sitting on an orange scooter, veil in place, bouquet in hand.

One particularly intimate shot captures the couple gazing into each other’s eyes, their faces mere inches apart, as if on the brink of sharing a kiss.

“My palagi,” Kristel captions her post with heartfelt words, pairing it with TJ Monterde’s song “Palagi.”

Faith played a significant role in their relationship, strengthening Kristel’s confidence in their future together.

Su Hyuk’s decision to convert to Iglesia ni Cristo reaffirmed her belief that he was the one.

“Nung sinabi niya sa akin na willing naman siya to convert, dun ko na, ‘Yes, willing pala siya,’ Kristel told PEP in February 2024.

“And then, nung nakita ko talaga na, ngayon kasi naka-process na siya, hindi kasi… Sa church kasi namin, hindi siya basta-basta puwedeng pumasok.

“It will take time, it will take months.

“So nasa process siya ngayon, and yun lang din yung hinihintay ko para masagot ko na siya.”
