Kapamilya actress Ruffa Gutierrez recently made a revelation that her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas wants to marry her again. During the press conference for her latest brand endorsement, the Can’t Buy Me Love star admitted she thought that he was just joking with her.
Ruffa and Yilmaz previously tied the knot back in 2003 and separated in 2007.
When asked by the media present as to why her ex-husband calls her “boss,” Ruffa confidently shared that she is his boss.
“Hindi siya makahanap ng isang katulad ko. Hanap siya nang hanap sa buong mundo. As a matter of fact, he wanted to propose and get married to me again. I thought it was a joke,” she shared as reported by Pilipino STAR Ngayon.
She admitted that she was still in denial and thought that Yilmaz was joking around so she clarified it once more to him.
“Sabi ko, ‘Is this a joke?’ [Sabi niya], ‘No, I want to invite you to be in a train with me’ and mag-train daw kami all over Europe. So, sabi ko, ‘Totoo ba ‘to or baka he’s planning my murder on the plane or train,” she quipped.
Despite his messages, Ruffa maintains that she is not assuming that he wants to get back with her. She added how nice it was that they’re able to joke around about getting back together now with all that happened between them in the past.
“At least, we’ve come to that decision na we can joke and be happy with one another,” she said.
Ruffa then shared that she considers her ex-husband as her “best friend” at the moment and is welcome to visit the country.
“I always wish Yilmaz well. And I always wish that he becomes successful in life kasi his success is also the success of my kids. Ano lang kami, we’re best friends now… Si Yilmaz, alam mo, kahit na saang lupalop siyang umikot sa buong mundo, iisa lang ang Ruffa at alam niya yun,” she shared with the media present.
Meanwhile, Ruffa previously shared that she is currently in a serious relationship.
