Jia Yongjie, who was in Japan at the time, rushed to Barbie Hsu’s side upon hearing the devastating news. Jia Yongjie wrote, “You looked peaceful, as if you were just beautifully asleep like always. Following the news, her younger sister Dee Hsu released a statement, “Our family traveled to Japan for the New Year, but my beloved and kindest sister, Barbie, unfortunately left us due to the flu and pneumonia.” She continued, “Being her sister in this lifetime was a great blessing. We leaned on each other and cared for one another. I will forever be grateful and deeply miss her. Please rest in peace. I will always love and remember you.”

Koo Jun-yup also expressed his grief through Ilgan Sports, “I am not okay. This is not fake news.” His words conveyed the deep sorrow he is experiencing.

According to Chinese and Japanese media reports, Barbie Hsu was cremated in Japan on February 3. Her ashes are set to be transported to Taiwan, though the exact date remains uncertain.
